Sometimes the asset you need doesn’t exist in any of the standard libraries, or it exists, but isn’t quite right for your client’s unique needs. That’s when ArchVision goes to work, tapping into leading 3D marketplaces like TurboSquid, 3DPeople, and others to source the best base models. We’ve shared some great examples with our partner, SMP Architects, and explained why it matters.
Once we have the asset, we tailor it using the right tools for the job. That could mean rigging in Maya, creating custom materials with Substance Designer, optimizing in Blender, or editing geometry in 3ds Max. We’re fluent across all the major modeling platforms and rendering engines, meaning we know how to take advantage of each program’s features and make assets that will work with your rendering tool of choice.
Another example of our custom asset workflow can be seen with SMP Architecture, but this time it was specifically configured sailboats that were needed. ArchVision found and acquired boats closely resembling what was needed from Turbosquid. They we optimized, textured, and configured the various layouts for the firm to use freely.
This wasn’t just a one-time static asset and fix—it marked the start of a dependable content pipeline that SMP could rely on as the project grew.

All custom assets created by ArchVision are delivered through FOVEA, our web-based asset management platform. FOVEA allows architecture teams to browse, preview, and download assets in their preferred formats, all in one place. Meaning one person can use the asset in Enscape, while another uses it in Unreal Engine, with no additional work needed. Firms can even revisit and re-download past content, ensuring long-term usability for future projects.
In addition to custom asset work, FOVEA also facilitates asset optimization. When one asset or model is slowing down your project, it may be time to optimize. ArchVision can handle this for you. With ArchVision’s RPC technology and years of experience, we are able to transform the asset into a new file format, RPC, which is a bundle of proxy geometry for simple in-scene representation. This works great with Revit, Rhino, and more, ensuring that your asset can retain its information without negatively impacting the project as a whole.
